I-Codes: Code Change Resource Collection
Organization:
ICC - International Code Council
Year: 2012
Abstract: INTRODUCTION
Why did a section of the 2012 IBC, IFC, IMC, IPC or IRC change from the 2009 edition?
This resource collection has been compiled to provide the answers to such questions. This resource collection provides the published documentation for each successful code change in the 2012 IBC, IFC, IMC, IPC and IRC since the 2009 editions. Each changed code section is listed in the respective Table of Changes for each code. Each table contains three headings. The first heading is 2012 I-Code which lists the section number in the 2012 code. If (new) appears after the section number it indicates that the section is new in 2012. If (deleted) is indicated in 2012 it means that the section no longer exists and the second column 2009 will show the section number that was deleted. Also, the second heading will indicate if a section number has changed from 2009 to 2012. If there is nothing indicated in the 2009 column, the section number remained the same. The third heading lists the code change number(s) which affected that particular section. The published material for each change is contained in the Documentation section.
