description abstractThis standard establishes the business rules for technical content, style, format and functionality requirements for technical publications prepared using S1000D Issue 4.0 for major weapon systems, and their related systems, subsystems, equipment, weapons replacement assemblies (WRAs), and shop replacement assemblies (SRAs). The requirements are applicable for all maintenance levels through overhaul (depot) including Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWRs) and National Maintenance Work Requirements (NMWRs). The requirements can be used to develop all new acquisition technical publications (page-oriented and IETPs for interactive screen presentations).Intended Use: MIL-STD-3031 prescribes business rule requirements applicable to various types of technical publications developed for the Army using S1000D.
