Abstract: This specification covers various sizes of single- and multi-axle cart-type trailer chassis having a low-silhouette frame, suitable for skid-mounted operating equipment. The trailer chassis are compatible for towing behind trucks, both commercial and military design and for being hauled behind construction and industrial machinery (CIM) equipment. These trailer chassis are compatible with a variety of operating machinery equipment, work tool sets, and shop sets which supplement and assist other equipment on earthmoving, construction, and materials handling jobs. Intended Use: The trailer chassis is intended for the mounting and transporting of various special items of equipment which require a low overall height over highway and cross-country terrain. The intended equipment items include the following:
Water Purification Unit, 600 GPH MIL-W-52116, Type II Distillation Unit, Water, 150 GPH MIL-D-52386 Lubricating and Servicing Unit MIL-L-10269 Welding Shop, Trailer Mounted MIL-W-52584 Radiographic Unit Air Compresser sets w/Tools. MIL-C-555 Hydraulic Service and Repair Units. Outside Light Sets. Power Units (Eng.-Gen. Sets). Environmental Control Unit. (Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, etc.) Maintenance Shop Sets Woodworking Shop Set MIL-S-52339 Pioneer Tool Shop Set Diesel Engine Power Units (Mech. Drive for Rock Crushers, etc).The trailer chassis are intended to be towed by military design trucks, commercial trucks, and self-propelled military equipment such as crawler and wheeled tractors, scoop loaders, cranes, and motor graders.
