Abstract: This specification covers two grades of petroleum-based lubricating oils for gears (see 6.1). This oil is identified by NATO Code Numbers O-153 and O-155 (see 1.2).Intended Use: The two grades of gear oil covered by this specification are intended for use in light-to-moderate-loaded gear trains or gear boxes that operate in low-to-medium-speed ranges down to -40°C.
