Abstract: INTRODUCTION
The intent of this procedure is to apply an overload torque to twist-type coupling mechanisms. The procedure is applicable to threaded or bayonet twist-type coupling mechanisms. The purpose of the procedure is to establish a safety factor or minimum level of reliability for the overload torque capabilities of twist-type and threaded coupling mechanisms.
