Joint Intelligence Training (JIT)

Abstract: PURPOSE
Pursuant to the authority in Reference (a), this Instruction:
Assigns the Commander, U.S. Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) the responsibility for JIT, as a subset of the larger responsibility for providing joint training and leading the collaborative development of joint training standards, processes, and programs in accordance with Reference (b).
Assigns the Commander, USJFCOM, the responsibility for implementing JIT for the Joint Intelligence Operations Centers (JIOCs), in accordance with Reference (c), as part of the larger requirement for functional baseline capabilities with respect to doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership and education, personnel, and facilities.
Provides policies and procedures and assigns responsibilities for planning, programming, and budgeting (PP&B) for the conduct of JIT.
Supersedes Reference (d) to continue to authorize the USJFCOM Joint Forces Intelligence Training Council (JFITC) as the advisory body on JIT that reports to the DoD Intelligence Training and Education Board (DITEB).
Implements the responsibilities of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence (USD(I)) for training transformation (T2) in accordance with DoD Directive 1322.18 (Reference (e)).
APPLICABILITY
This Instruction applies to the OSD, the Military Departments (including the Coast Guard at all times, including when it is a Service in the Department of Homeland Security by agreement with that Department), the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the DoD, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities in the DoD (hereafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components").
