Abstract: This specification covers general requirements for design and construction of ground support equipment and provisions to be incorporated in detail specifications for specific items of equipment. Intended Use: This specification provides the general requirements for ground equipment used for servicing, maintenance, ground handling, assembly, and other operations which must be performed on aircraft while the aircraft is on the ground being prepared for flight or storage. This does not include training equipment or the ground-based portion of guidance systems. In addition, it provides a guide to provisions to be incorporated in detail specification for specific items of equipment.
