description abstractDescription of Driving Event:
During ground operations at KSC, the first United States Microgravity Laboratory (USML-1) did not allow contingency time for the development and installation/test of new hardware. Delivery of a new Payload General Support Computer-Data Display System (PGSC-DDS) did not support the scheduled start of systems test. Also, training was not planned for the Master Memory Unit (MMU) tester and the PGSC unit tester.
