description abstract	This specification covers the requirements for one grade of low and high temperature molybdenum disulfide grease for use as a lubricant on heavily loaded sliding steel surfaces. This grease is identified by NATO Symbol G-353 Military Symbol GMD. Intended Use: The grease covered by this specification is intended for use as a lubricant for accessory splines, heavily loaded sliding surfaces or for anti-friction bearings carrying high loads and operating through wide temperature ranges where molybdenum disulfide will prevent or delay seizure in the event of inadequate lubrication. This grease should not be used for wheel bearings or for other than steel surfaces without prior performance evaluation.
