Abstract

Scope: This standard specifies requirements and procedures for a certification system applicable to all suppliers of emulsified asphalt. The requirements and procedures apply to materials that meet the requirements of M 140, M 208, or M 316 which are manufactured at refineries, terminals, in-line blended, or otherwise produced for use in paving applications. This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. It does not purport to address all of the safety concerns associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
