description abstractThis NACE test method describes the equipment and procedures for measuring the peel strength of multilayer polyolefin coatings applied externally to steel pipe. The primary application of this method is for field testing of polyolefin-based multilayer coatings (e.g., 2-layer polyethylene coating [2LPE], 3-layer polyethylene [3LPE], 3-layer polypropylene [3LPP], and heat shrink sleeve [HSS]). Tape coatings (e.g., cold-applied polymeric tape coatings and hot-applied polyolefin-based coatings) may also be tested with this test method
