description abstractThis specification covers body armor trousers for the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) system. The trousers consists of an aramid ballistic filler enclosed in an oxford aramid cloth shell. The trousers are part of the explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) system and are a special purpose Life Support Clothing and Equipment (LSC&E) item. All government administrative and surveillance procedures applicable to LSC&E items shall be invoked in accordance with the contract or purchase order (see 6.2). Intended Use: The body armor is intended to protect the wearer from high velocity fragments associated with disposal of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED).
