description abstract | This standard establishes acoustical noise limits and prescribes testing requirements and measurement techniques for determining conformance to the noise limits specified herein.Intended Use: This standard is intended for use as a noise criteria design standard for design of military materiel, cited contractually in system specifications, and elsewhere, and for use as a basis for that part of noise testing where design characteristics are assessed for purposes of acceptance. It is not intended for use to express binding requirements in conceptual and other early acquisition phases. The standard may be applied to traditional, as well as non-developmental item (NDI) acquisitions. | |
