description abstractThis document covers two types of panel type, mechanical, refrigeration units having a capacity of 5000 British thermal units (Btu) per hour and used with a 150-cubic foot, portable field refrigerator (see 6.1).
The refrigeration units will be of the following types as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Diesel Engine Driven
Type II - Electric Motor Driven Intended Use: The refrigeration units covered by this specification are intended for worldwide field use by the Military under adverse climatic conditions without added protection from the elements. The refrigeration unit is used with the 150-cubic foot refrigerators covered by MIL-R-12571.
