| description abstract | This specification covers polyester and rayon spun yarn gabardine cloth (see 6.1). The cloth shall be of the following types and classes as specified (see 6.2): Type I - 6.0 ounce Type II - 6.4 ounce Type III - 8.0 ounce Class 1 - Bleached White Class 2 - Dyed Intended Use: The cloth is intended for use in the manufacture of clothing items for personnel of the Department of Defense. Specific uses are: (a) Type I - Women's Summer White Uniforms - Uniform, Woman's Dress; White (Marine Corps Officers) - Jacket, Man's; Mess; White (Marine Corps Officers) - Coat, Man's White; Dress (Marine Corps Officers) - Jacket, Woman's; Mess Dress (Marine Corps Officers) Trousers, Men's; Dress (White) (Marine Corps Officers) (b) Type II - Cap, Field, Hot Weather (c) Type III - Coveralls, Mechanics (basic cloth) - Uniform; Woman's; Dress; White (Marine Corps Officers) - Coat, Man's: White; Dress (Marine Corps Officers) - Jacket, Man's: Mess; White (Marine Corps Officers) Trousers, Men's: Dress; White (Marine Corps Officers) | |
