description abstract | General; The cable described by this standard consists of either two or three conductors of stranded, annealed, and tinned copper wire, insulated with synthetic or natural rubber, covered with a cotton wrap and a shield, and protected with an outer sheath of neoprene. Application: This cable will be used primarily as a microphone cable in radio broadcasting service. A high degree of flexibility, resistance to breakage of conductors or shield by bending at connectors, and substantial resistance to wear of outer sheath, are important requirements. | |
