description abstractThe procedures, methods, and documentation requirements in this guideline describe the application of the Commissioning (Cx) Process for each project delivery phase, from Predesign through Occupancy/Operations, for all types and sizes of smoke control systems, to support the Cx Process activities described in ASHRAE Guideline 0 1 and ASHRAE Standard 202 2. Requirements include the following: a. Smoke control systems to fully support the Cx Process activities b. Verification during each phase of the Cx Process c. Acceptance during each phase d. Documentation during each phase e. A systems manual f. Training for operations and maintenance (O&M) personnel and occupants  The procedures, methods, and documentation requirements apply to new construction and ongoing Cx Process activities or requirements for all or portions of buildings and facilities. They also can be applied to rehab, retrocommissioning, or recommissioning projects. PURPOSE The purpose of this guideline is to describe the technical requirements for applying the Commissioning (Cx) Process, described in ASHRAE Guideline 0 1 and Standard 202 2, that will verify that the smoke control system fulfills the Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR).
