Abstract: This specification covers gasoline, diesel, liquified petroleum-gas (LPG) engine powered, and battery powered, commercial, self-propelled, rider operated, industrial type sweepers equipped with a vacuum dust control system and hopper to collect and transport sweepings.
Federal specifications do not include all varieties of the commodity as indicated by the title of the specification, or are commerically available, but are intended to cover only those generally used by the Federal Government. Intended Use: Sweepers covered by this specification are intended for sweeping and cleaning warehouse aisles, shop and garage floors, and similar surface areas where fine cleaning and dust control is desired.
