Abstract: This specification covers an asphalt compound for coating the surfaces of ammunition cavities prior to filling with explosives. It provides for an additional composition of material suitable for use in areas with specific air pollution regulations (see 6.1 and 6.4).Intended Use: This asphalt coating compound is intended for coating the interior surfaces of ammunition items such as bombs, shells, rockets, and mines prior to being filled with explosives. Since it was developed for use in military ammunition, there is no commercial application.
