description abstractThis specification covers requirements for laminated rods of phenolic resin and nylon fabric. Intended Use: The laminated, nylon fabric base phenolic rods conforming to this specification are intended for use in equipment requiring high insulation resistance plus fungi inertness under severe climatic conditions. Also, the rods are intended for applications in equipment requiring a combination of excellent electrical properties, particularly insulation resistance, plus impact strength. This material shows severe decrease in flexural strength at temperatures above 75°C and, consequently, must be used with caution at such temperatures.
