Abstract: Scope: This standard deals with track construction, including work on existing tracks, switches and ballast. This standard does not cover - earthwork associated with track work (see DIN 18300), - placing of protective layers to protect the work area or for frost protection (see DIN 18315), - the paving of roads (see DIN 18315, DIN 18316, DIN 18317 and DIN 18318). DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18325 shall take precedence
