Abstract

This standard shall provide minimum construction requirements for safety and health for occupants using facilities supplied by recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds offering temporary living sites for use by recreational vehicles, park model recreational vehicles, and other camping units. This standard shall not cover the design of recreational vehicles, park model RVs, or other forms of camping units. This standard shall not cover operational and maintenance practices for recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds. Purpose. The purpose of this standard shall be to serve as a basis for regulations by authorities having jurisdiction over the facilities provided in new recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds and additions to existing facilities only. Application. The requirements of this standard shall be applied to all new recreational vehicle parks and campgrounds and additions to existing facilities only. This standard shall not be applied as a stand-alone design specification or instruction manual.
