Abstract: This specification covers one type of general purpose distiller scale preventive treatment formulation. Intended Use: This distiller scale preventive treatment chemical covered by this specification is for scale prevention for submerged tube, basket, and flash-type naval distillers. The distillate for distillers using this treatment is used for potable water and makeup feed water for all Navy boilers. A dosage rate of one pint of scale preventive treatment per 4,000 gallons of distillate is standard for Navy shipboard use.
