description abstract	This specification covers external wrenching, tensile and shear bolts. The bolts shall be used in applications where temperatures are not greater than 450 °F.Intended Use: Bolts procured to this specification are intended for use in tension applications which require a bolt with 260 KSI strength and high fatigue strength and not intended for use in application greater than 450 °F. These bolts should be used in conjunction with high strength nuts in accordance with NASM8984.
