| description abstract | This specification covers the requirements for a mechanical assembly used to apply a force through a single linear motion from a remote location for actuating quick acting valves. The assembly consists of an encased core mechanism, a valve end fitting, core junction boxes, and trip handles (see figure 1). Assemblies covered by this specification should be furnished in one class meeting the requirements specified herein. Intended Use: The actuating assemblies covered by this specification are intended for use in applying a force through a linear motion from a remote location. The assemblies are intended for, but not limited to, actuating quick acting valves in shipboard applications. | |
