Abstract

This handbook focuses primarily on the requirements for fabrication and inspection for acceptance of adhesive bonded, aluminum faced, non perforated aluminum honeycomb core sandwich assemblies intended for use as aircraft spare parts. An extensive collection of terms and definitions has been provided in an attempt to standardize pertinent terminology. Corrugated core assemblies are not addressed in detail. Repair of used honeycomb structures is not covered. <br>A list of references and an index are included at the end of the Handbook. The reference list includes only those sources not covered in the Applicable Documents chapter. Company specifications or procedures that were used as sources of information are cited in the reference list. Some of these references have a limited distribution; acquisition of these documents may require approval of the author company. <br>Engineers making use of the material contained herein are invited to submit comments and suggestions as to the expansion and improvement of the document.
