Abstract: This specification covers the requirements for an anemometer designated as Anemometer ML-497( )/PM, designed to measure wind direction and velocity from 0-40 miles per hour. Intended Use: Anemometer ML-497( )/PM is a deflecting vane type anemometer, equipped with an integral wind vane and compass, designed for indicating wind speed and direction. The anemometer is used with Meteorological Station, Manual, AN/PMQ-1( ) and Meteorological Station, Manual, AN/PMQ-4( ).
