MIL-PRF-62539A
MODULE, STARTER LOW VOLTAGE PROTECTIVE SYSTEM
Organization:
ARMY - AT - Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command
Year: 1997
Abstract: This specification covers a low voltage protection module to protect engine starter motor. Intended Use: The Module, Low Voltage Protective System covered by this specification is intended to protect electrical starters for AVDS 1790 series engines from damage due to low battery voltage. This System is military unique because it must be able to operate satisfactorily under steady accelerations of 20 g applied in any direction; at an ambient temperatures ranging from −70°F to +300°F. Commercial Modules are not designed to withstand such extreme and sudden environmental conditions and would experience catastrophic failure.
