Abstract: Scope: These requirements cover electric swimming pool cover operators intended for installation and use in accordance with Article 680 of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. These requirements are intended to address, but not be limited to, fire, electric shock and casualty hazards. The requirements are not intended to address the ability of the cover to function as a barrier to unauthorized access to a swimming pool or spa to help prevent drowning.
