Abstract: PURPOSE
This Marshall Work Instruction (MWI) provides instructions for requesting support from the Special Equipment Design Branch (EV35) via the preparation and submission of a Special Equipment Design Branch Support Request Form, Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Form 4405. EV35 is located within the Engineering Directorate's Spacecraft and Vehicle Systems Department, Structural Design and Analysis Division. This MWI, in conjunction with EV35's Organizational Work Instructions (OWIs), satisfies the design requirements detailed in MPR 8060.2, "Non-Flight and Non-Facility Design and Development" and provides "use" and "control" requirements for Special Test Equipment (STE) documentation as detailed in MPR 8040.1, "Configuration Management, MSFC Programs/Projects," 3.2.2.
APPLICABILITY
This MWI applies to the personnel, programs, projects, and activities at MSFC including contractors and resident agencies to the extent specified in their respective contracts or agreements. ("Contractors," for purposes of this paragraph, include contractors, grantees, Cooperative Agreement recipients, Space Act Agreement partners, or other agreement parties.)
This MWI is to be used by anyone requesting support from EV35. It is also applicable to EV35 personnel and support contractors.
