| description abstract | This specification covers the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of the TCU-5A/A Thruster, Cartridge Actuated (Thruster) used for seat drop operation on the V-22 Emergency Escape Hatch Removal System (EEHRS). Intended Use: These Thrusters are components of the Emergency Egress Hatch Removal Systems installed in the MV-22, CV-22 and HV-22 variant aircraft. They are the mechanical thrusters using ballistic energy for a gas generator tip in 3205AS111 to rotate the seat drop mechanism. As the Emergency Egress Hatch Removal Systems is designed only for military V-22 Aircraft, there is no commercial application for the TCU-5A/A thruster. | |
