Abstract

This publication establishes mandatory procedures for Tasking Authorities (TAs), Delegated Tasking Authorities (DTAs), their subordinate working groups (WGs), Custodians, NATO Bodies², and anyone involved with producing, maintaining and managing NATO standardization documents. <br>This publication does not cover the method of work for the preparation, life cycle management and adoption by NATO of Allied communications publications³ (ACPs) and their related NATO supplements, which is done in accordance with reference 1.1.4.2. <br>This publication is developed under the auspices of the Committee for Standardization (CS) and noted by the North Atlantic Council (NAC). <br><strong>PURPOSE</strong> <br>The purpose of this directive is to establish procedures for the production, maintenance and management of NATO standardization documents in accordance with NATO regulation <br>² In the context of the present directive, NATO Bodies encompass all permanent staff, IS, IMS, NATO commands and agencies. <br>³ ACPs are non-NATO publications, developed by the CCEB (Combined Communications-Electronics Board / Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States of America) and adopted by NATO with NATO supplements to ACPs when necessary, in accordance with reference 1.1.4.2.
