description abstractThis specification covers regulated, refueling couplings for use by tanker aircraft for refueling other aircraft using the probe and drogue method of aerial refueling.Intended Use: The aerial refueling couplings covered by this specification are intended for use by tanker aircraft for refueling receiver aircraft by means of the probe-drogue method of aerial refueling. The coupling, which is extended from the tanker, engages the nozzle on the receiver aircraft, thereby allowing the transfer of fuel. The coupling may also be used for defueling the tanker aircraft on the ground with the use of a special item of test equipment. The coupling provides a regulated fuel supply.
