description abstract	FOREWORD The technical committee received a change request stating “The data set and the resulting composite curve are the actual data product of the test method, whereas the MERV classification is merely a shortcut interpretation of the minimum efficiency composite curve. This reinforces this fact and strengthens the committee’s position regarding the importance of actual particle size efficiency rather than a nebulous quasi-rating classification.” The following changes require that the results of the efficiency calculations be required in the test report. Note: In this addendum, changes to the current standard are indicated in the text by underlining (for additions) and (for deletions) unless the instructions specifically mention some other means of indicating the changes.
