Abstract

Scope: This specification covers the general requirements for the smooth-tread standard tire for pavement testing. The tire covered by this specification is intended for evaluation of tire-pavement friction such as that in T 242. The terminology in this specification is consistent with ASTM E867. The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment.
