Abstract: PURPOSE. This Instruction: a. Combines the policies and procedures from Committee Management Policy and Procedures, COMDTINST 5420.37 and COMDTINST 5420.18E, Advisory Committees; Requirements For; b. Updates and establishes policies, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for the management of: (1) Coast Guard committees that fall under the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (5 U.S.C. App. 2) (FACA); and, (2) Coast Guard-sponsored committees and participation by Coast Guard personnel on committees of other organizations.
