| description abstract | PURPOSE. This document presents Coast Guard natural resources policy regarding compliance with the natural resources management requirements of Federal and state statutes such as the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act, the Coastal Zone Management Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act (Chapters 1 and 2). Chapter 3 provides guidance for Coast Guard shore unit personnel in the implementation of that policy through coordination with the servicing MLC for the optional preparation of Natural Resources Management Plans. | |
