description abstract | This specification covers one grade of aviation turbine fuel designated as JP-7. This specification was thoroughly reviewed as a part of acquisition reform. While most of the requirements were converted to performance terms, due to the military-unique nature of the product (see 6.1) and the need for compatibility with deployed systems, it was determined that not all requirements could be converted. The issuance of this specification as. "detail" is not intended to constrain technology advances in future systems. Intended Use: The JP-7 fuel covered by this specification is intended for use in aircraft turbine engines. The fuel covered by this specification is not intended for general acquisition. It is a limited production item to be consumed only by systems which use engines that require this product. This is a military unique fuel for military use. The contracting officer should contact the following organization if clarification of requirements is required: AFRL/PRSF, Bldg 490 1790 Loop Road N Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433-7103. | |
