Abstract: This specification covers hydraulic filter housings, filter elements, and associated differential pressure indicators for use in ship hydraulic control systems with an operating pressure up to 3,000 pounds per square inch (lb/in2). Intended Use: The filter assemblies, filter elements, and differential pressure indicators covered by this specification are intended for use in submarine and surface ship petroleum base, water glycol, and triaryl phosphate ester fluid hydraulic systems. For application to systems using other than these fluids, users are cautioned to ensure compatibility with filter assemblies and elements herein. When fluids of lower viscosities are used, the filter assemblies may be suitable for higher flowrates.
