description abstractThis document covers one type of a rectangular, "A" type, of square-end M-1948 flyproof kitchen tent with the back portion forming a stack higher than the rest of the tent. Dimensions of the tent are as follows: length overall, 18 feet; width, 12 feet; ridge height, 9 feet; side wall height, 6 feet; length of stack, 6 feet; stack ridge height, 12 feet; stack side wall height, 9 feet. A cover is provided for protection during transport. Intended Use: The tent is used in the tropics to provide shelter while cooking and serving food. A wall screen, equipped with a serving window, snaps to the tent and provides an insect-proof closure on sides and front when the walls are raised or guyed out to form awnings.
