Abstract

Scope: This specification covers the general requirements for the standard rib tire for pavement friction testing. The tire covered by this specification is only for use in evaluation of tire-pavement friction such as that in T 242. Terminology in this specification is consistent with ASTM E867. The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment.
