Abstract

This document covers textile braids and woven laces for blue dress uniforms worn by military personnel of the Department of the Army. <br>The braids and laces shall be of the following types, classes, and styles as specified (see <a>6.2</a>): </span><pre> Type I - Braid Class 1 - Soutache Class 2 - Cord-edge Class 3 - Combination Class 4 - Plain with vellum stripe Type II - Lace, Woven Class 1 - Plain with vellum stripe Style A - &#189; inch Style B - 1-&#189; inch</pre> <br> <strong>Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and any pertinent data which may be of use in improving this document should be addressed to: U.S. Army Natick Research, Development, and Engineering Center, Natick, MA 01760-5014 by using the self-addressed Standardization Document Improvement Proposal (DD Form 1426) appearing at the end of this document or by letter.</strong> <pre> Class 2 - Colored center stripe Style A - &#190; inch Style B - 1-&#190; inch</pre> <br> <br><b><u>Intended Use:</u></b> The braids and laces are used for decorative accessories to the blue dress uniforms for officers and enlisted personnel of the U.S. Army. The types, classes, and styles are used as follows: <pre> Type I - Enlisted personnel Class 1 - Coat sleeves Class 2 - Coat shoulder loops Class 3 - Blue dress cap Class 4 - Belt and trouser stripes (Army Band Uniform) Type II - Officers and enlisted personnel Class 1, style A - General officer's trouser stripes and enlisted men's service stripes Class 1, style B - Officers' and enlisted men's trouser stripes and general officer's coat sleeve ornamentation Class 2, style A - Officers' coat sleeve ornamentation Class 2, style B - Officers' cap band</pre> <br>
