OPERATIONAL MISSION PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS – GROUPS, STATIONS, AIDS TO NAVIGATION TEAMS
Organization:
USCG - United States Coast Guard
Year: 2000
Abstract: PURPOSE. This Manual establishes operational mission performance expectations for Coast Guard groups, stations, and aids to navigation teams. These units are essential to the achievement of each of the Coast Guard's five strategic goals and 14 of the 18 Coast Guard performance goals. These performance expectations address those items that directly provide or affect the provision of service to and interaction with the public and the achievement of Coast Guard strategic goals. Numerous other tasks not listed herein (e.g., boat maintenance, crew training, etc.) are required in order to ensure our capability to provide these services. Establishment of operational mission performance expectations for these units in this instruction is necessary to:
Articulate expectations throughout the chain of command.
Provide a means to compare expectations to actual capabilities.
Assess current and future resource requirements.
Identify incremental and decremental performance expectation changes so that workload and resource impacts can be recognized.
