description abstractOBJECT AND SCOPE
It should be emphasized that the agreement constituted by the sample clauses only governs the Electronic Data Interchange relations between the parties and is not, unless otherwise agreed by the parties, intended to govern the substance of transactions which will effectively be carried out using Electronic Data Interchange i.e. the purchase order or a license agreement for the use of information. The issues of validation and formation of the underlying agreement are covered by the sample clause on VALIDITY AND FORMATION OF CONTRACT. Conflicts or inconsistencies between the agreements involved should be prevented.
