description abstractThis standard establishes test methods to determine the ability of the terminals of an electrical connector to withstand the mechanical stresses likely to be applied during normal assembly operations. This test method is limited to standard flat type through hole terminations, such as those typically used in connector or socket type products, that have a material thickness no thicker than 0.30 millimeters (0.012 inch). Test methods for printed circuit terminals and solderless wrap terminals are included in this standard.
