description abstractThis specification covers rotating, commutator type, switches constructed in potentiometer housings. They may be used with or without potentiometers. The switches are for use in training equipment only.
- Switch type designations shall be in the following form as specified (see 6.2):
          Type designation form - single-section switches Style Terminal Board S16 A S16 B

The style is identified by the letter "S" followed by a two-digit number; the letter identifies switch, rotary, variable resistor assembly type, and the number identifies the diameter in ⅛-inch increments.
Terminal boards shall be of two types, the letter "A" designating a 110-degree arc terminal board, and the letter "B" designating 180-degree arc terminal board (see 3.3.5).
Intended Use: The switch is used in simulator computational systems. The capability of angular placement of bus bars having various angular lengths provides for selection of switch ON/OFF positions as the operating shaft is rotated.
