description abstractThis specification covers the performance and acceptance requirements for a self-powered fan unit and transport case for use with radiant type, non-electrical powered tent heaters, to distribute heated air in military tents (see 6.1). Intended Use: The self-powered fan unit is intended to circulate air to reduce thermal gradients and improve comfort while at the same time improving the efficiency of standard liquid fueled tent heaters (see 6.7). When placed on the horizontal surface of the tent heater, the fan unit generates enough power to move up to 400 cfm of air from the tent peak downward over the heater surface.
