DODD 1035.01

Abstract

<u>PURPOSE</u>. In accordance with the authority in DoD Directive 5124.02 (Reference (a)), this Instruction: <br>a. Reissues DoD Instruction 1035.01 (Reference (b)). <br>b. Establishes policy, assigns responsibilities, and prescribes procedures for implementing DoD telework programs. <br>c. Implements the provisions of sections 6501 through 6506 of title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), as added by Public Law 111-292 (also known as the "Telework Enhancement Act of 2010") (Reference (c)); section 359 of Public Law 106-346 (Reference (d)); and sections 101 and 206 of title 37, U.S.C. (Reference (e)). <br><u>APPLICABILITY</u>. This Instruction applies to: <br>a. OSD, the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Joint Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the DoD (hereinafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components"). <br>b. Employees (as defined in the Glossary) and Service members where indicated in the Instruction and at the discretion of the Heads of the OSD and DoD Components.
