ASSE 1001; Performance Requirements for Atmospheric Type Vacuum Breakers
ASSE - American Society of Sanitary Engineering
Description
Vacuum Breakers shall be classified in two general types:
a. Atmospheric type, as described herein.
b. Pressure type (See ASSE Standard #1020, Performance Requirements for Pressure Vacuum Breaker Assembly, and ASSE Standard #1056, Spill Resistant Vacuum Breakers).
The atmospheric type design shall consist of a check valve member and an air vent that is normally closed when the device is pressurized, and open when the inlet pressure is atmospheric.
Sizes
Inlet and outlet pipe sizes shall range from 1/8 NPT to 4 NPT (3 mm to 100 mm).
Working Pressure
Devices shall be designed to operate within a working pressure of 8.0 psi (55.2 kPa) to a minimum of 125.0 psi (861.9 kPa).
Temperature Range
a. Devices limited to cold water service shall operate within a range from 33.0 °F + 2.0 °F – 0 °F to 110.0 °F +0 °F – 2.0 °F (0.6 °C + 1.1 °C – 0 °C to 43.3 °C + 0 °C – 1.1 °C).
b. Devices intended for hot or cold water service shall operate within a range from 33.0 °F + 2.0 °F – 0 °F to 180.0 °F +0 °F – 2.0 °F (0.6 °C + 1.1 °C – 0 °C to 82.2 °C + 0 °C – 1.1 °C).

ASSE 1017; Performance Requirements for Temperature Actuated Mixing Valves for Hot Water Distribution Systems
ASSE - American Society of Sanitary Engineering
Description
Temperature Actuated Mixing Valves for Hot Water Distribution Systems (herein referred to as "device") shall consist of a hot water inlet connection, a cold water inlet connection, a mixed water outlet connection, a thermal element and a means for adjusting the mixed water outlet temperature.
Connections
Dimensions of pipe threads, flanges and other connections shall conform to appropriate industry standards.
Maximum Working Pressure
The maximum working pressure of the device shall be at least 125.0 psi (861.9 kPa).
Temperature Range
Inlet Water Temperature Range
The hot water inlet temperature range shall be 120.0°F - 180.0°F (48.9°C - 82.2°C) and the cold water inlet temperature range shall be 39.0°F - 80.0°F (3.9°C - 26.7°C).
Outlet Water Temperature Range
The device shall be capable of supplying the domestic hot water distribution system with a minimum adjustable range of 105.0°F- 120.0°F (40.6°C - 48.9°C), provided the hot water supply temperature is at least 20.0°F (11.1°C) greater than the outlet water temperature setting.

ASSE 1037; Performance Requirements for Pressurized Flushing Devices (Flushometers) for Plumbing Fixtures
ASSE - American Society of Sanitary Engineering
This standard establishes physical requirements, basic performance requirements, and test procedures for pressurized flushing devices for the safe, sanitary operation of plumbing fixtures.
While this standard covers the performance requirements for pressurized flushing devices and describes these performance requirements in terms of methods of test applicable to all such units, a number of different materials, designs and methods of operation may be used to meet these requirements.
