description abstract	The policies in this chapter apply to Department of Defense (DoD) Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities (NAFIs) and their supporting Accounting Offices (AOs). Except for financial reporting prescribed in paragraphs 070201 and 0703, these policies do not apply to the Armed Service Exchanges. Purpose This chapter prescribes the standard policies for financial reporting, which are the principal means of communicating accounting information to those activities relying on information for management of their operations.
